We feel very fortunate to have discovered Alpine Lake Resort, and we hope you agree. Please keep in mind that short-term rentals make up only a small percentage of the residences in the area. Thank you for being considerate neighbors during your time here.

Sledding, Snowshoeing, and Cross-Country Skiing
The common areas within Alpine Lake Resort and the Alpine Lake Golf Course are available for outdoor winter recreation to renters. There are some restrictions on where you may sled, snowshoe, or ski.
The following areas are OFF LIMITS:
- The lake (regardless of how thick the ice may appear)
- Golf course greens and tee boxes
- Roads
- Private property (other than your own)
Winter outdoor activities within Alpine Lake are done at your own risk. The Alpine Lake HOA and/or Resort are not liable for any injuries or damages sustained by their pursuit. Always be safety conscious – (a) do not sled, snowshoe, or ski in areas beyond your abilities and comfort level; (b) wear appropriate clothing and have extra dry clothing available; ( c) check weather forecast and plan ahead; ( d) let others know where you will be. Be aware that weather, terrain, and path conditions may change abruptly at Alpine Lake.
The best sledding location is from the parking lot located to the south of the Lodge. Always be aware of hazards such as trees, rocks, roads, and people.
The golf course is the most accessible and easiest cross country ski area. More adventurous skiing can be found on Alpine Lake hiking trails (Castle Rock, Seven Bridges, Muskrat Pond Loop), along the west side of the lake, and on the unplowed roads of the Matterhorn section. There is no parking in the Matterhorn. On the golf course do not ski across the greens or tee boxes. Do not ski on the golf course when there is less than 6 inches of snow. Decades ago Alpine Lake promoted cross country skiing by marking and grooming ski trails. The ski trail system is not currently maintained, but some ski markers remain. Please do not snowshoe on ski tracks. Remember to always let someone know where you will be when skiing or snowshoeing.
